This Request for Quotations (the “RFQ”) is an invitation by the Limestone District School Board (the “Board”) to prospective respondents to submit non-binding quotations for Septic System Replacement at Harrowsmith Public School and Loughborough Public School, as further described in Section A of the RFQ Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”). 

Harrowsmith PS Septic 

The project includes the removal of identified sections of existing asphalt, concrete, and underground glycol tank. It requires full excavation and earthworks for regrading and reinstatement of the removed sections and all utilities and equipment need to complete modifications of the septic system. It also includes the removal of existing paving, excavation, supply and placement of new granular material and the removal of two existing concrete entry walk and replacement of walks along building. It requires the removal of a 4000 L buried underground steel glycol tank. Tank will be empty prior to construction. All existing utilities to the tank are to be disconnected at a location agreed upon by the Owner’s Representative and decommissioned from the that location to the exterior wall of the foundation as per contract drawings. Contractor to supply clean fill, to fill all excavations from tank removal, fill to be place as per contract drawings.  The contractor will provide a new effluent filter and effluent alarm and all supporting utilities as required.

Loughborough PS Septic 

The project includes the decommissioning and reconstruction of the leaching bed and pump chamber at Loughborough Public School, 4330 Wheatley Street, Sydenham, ON, K0H 2T0 and septic tank at Sydenham High School, 2860 Rutledge Road, Sydenham, ON, K0H 2T0.  Work of this Contract also comprises the regrading of a section of the existing asphalt parking lot at Loughborough Public School.  Work at Loughborough Public School will also include minor regrading and storm sewer improvements at the front of the School. 

Work of this Contract will include the construction and installation of one (1) new 65,000 L heavy traffic load capable septic tank, one (1) new 1500 mmØ maintenance hole, one (1) new 65,000 L balancing tank, one (1) new Type A dispersal bed with 475 m of pipe, lawn restoration, one (1) new effluent filter, one (1) new precast concrete hand-hole, installation of one (1) 25 mmØ conduit for electrical wires to Sydenham High School, reinstatement of existing asphalt at Sydenham High School, one (1) new catch basin, a 14 m storm-water pipe, a new grate on an existing head-wall, regrading and paving of a portion of the parking lot to the south of Loughborough Public School.
