The Maple Elementary School kindergarten yard project involves the comprehensive redevelopment of the exiting outdoor space into a functional, naturalized learning environment.  The contractor is responsible for initial site preparation, including the demolition and removal of existing features, the preservation and storage of existing play equipment.

The majority of the work is civil and landscape, including the installation of new paved walkways and concrete curbing to improve site circulation, planting areas, and natural play elements such as wood playhouses, log balance beams and steppers, all of which must meet current CSA safety standards for childcare environments.  Additionally, the contractor will construct a new sand play area and a designated outdoor learning zone equipped for classroom use.
